Check the basics in this order
Confirm the printer and your device are on the same WiFi network, not a guest network or a different band. Restart the printer itself, not just your router. Check the printer's small display or app for an actual error message rather than assuming it's a general connection issue.
The cause people usually miss
Many home routers broadcast separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, and older printers often only support 2.4GHz. If your printer was working and suddenly stopped after a router change, connecting it to the wrong band is one of the most common overlooked causes.
